LiquiScreen is a two step coating
that transforms any paintable surface into a high quality projection
screen. It is applied with an ordinary paint roller, and offers
performance that rivals commercial screens costing many times as much.
When you design your home theater, your first thought is usually the projector. The projector is the heart of home theater, and often the most expensive component.
Your screen is as important as your projector. Choose your projector with care, but remember - it's only half of the equation. The screen is what you'll be looking at. Don't buy a good projector, then compromise its performance with a bad screen.
Wall paint and bed sheets are not projection screens.
The difference between wall paint and a
proper projection screen is like night and day. Brightness is greatly
increased, colors are more vibrant, focus is sharper, more details can
be seen, and the image has depth and a true 3D appearance.
Good commercial screens are expensive.
A good quality commercial screen can easily cost over $1000, so many home
theater enthusiasts are building their own. Most use wooden frames with
white fabric stretched over them, or white plastic wall panels. These
screens often have a professional appearance, but their performance is
still not comparable to a commercial screen.
LiquiScreen offers a solution to this problem.
By building your own screen (or framing a screen area on a smooth wall) and applying LiquiScreen Front Projection
Coatings, you can have the appearance AND performance of a commercial
screen, at a fraction of the cost.
Applying LiquiScreen is easy, and can be done by anyone who can paint a wall. LiquiScreen application consists of a base coat, and a top coat:
The base coat provides a uniform, opaque base for your screen surface. Base Coat is available in gray and white.
The top coat is a reflective coating which adds gain and depth to your screen.
Unlike ordinary paints, LiquiScreen is formulated to give true color rendition.
